5.2g2 on SCO – missing libisam.a

Can anyone help? I have some patches (029 and 081) which require a
recompilation of the idfs and a few others.

My system has been re-installed several times since the original
installation and the recompile is asking for

/usr/lib/libisam.a

that I do not have.

Can anyone send it to me?

Re: [U-L] Save formsize en position

Hello,
I think with syntax U can display the form at same position
 new_instance "Myform","Myform","dimensions=top,left,width,deapth" with no
spaces.
for eg: "dimensions=10,10,50,20"
Hope this works for you.

dynamic resize of fields

Hello all,

At one of the technologie briefings held by compuware,
they showed in demo of version 7.2.04 that a field can be
dynamicly resized at runtime.
Does someone of you know how this is done?

URB recognising ActiveX Events

I have a created a call-out signature with the URB to talk to the MS
WinSocks ActiveX control. (The control allows me to send messages via a
TCP/IP network)
I am successful in implementing the properties and methods of the
ActiveX but I cannot figure how to to implement the Events (such as
DataReceived) from the control?
How are (Can they?) Events implemented with the URB?

Thanks

Producing a report in word via COM

Is there anyone out there who has used the COM interface to achieve any of
the following in a Word document:

Justifying (centring) text, inserting a picture, inserting a Word table.

I am trying to create a report in a Word document using just the COM
Interface, as when using the Uniface Report Interface all formatting is
lost.

So far, I have managed to use COM to insert text, create new lines, insert
page breaks, apply bold, italic, font size and font styles to text.

Any advise/tips would be most appreciated,

In anticipation,

Wayne Tooze

Re: [U-L] 2g2 on SCO – missing libisam.a

Mike,

>From memory, this is indicating that you are using C-ISAM, for which you

need the C-ISAM library (usually pointed to by $INFORMIXDIR).  This is
not a Uniface product but supplied by Informix.

If this is the case, you will have to be very careful to ensure you get
the original version of C-ISAM that that version of Uniface was designed
for.

Re: [U-L] Save formsize en position

Hello,
The formsize position will not go to the windows
registry.

Open the  form component in Uniface development
environment.

select "View" menu and   uncheck the
"Lock  component position"  and "Lock Component
Size".

Change  the geometry of the form according to your
reqmt.
Then Select "view" menu and  check the
"Lock  component position"  and "Lock Component Size"
on and compile the form.

Now you have saved the form position

Hope this may helps
regards
Gopal

[U-L] "Reference made to excluded field"

        Hello,

I wonder if anybody has experienced the following problem:
We have a user with a Uniface 6.1dv application (upgraded from a
previous 6.1d(x…) version) running with the following         on a Win95
Client. This is connected to a Unix box via Polyserver. The compiled frms
and all the global objects are sitting  on the Unix box.
Scheduled tasks are running in the background on the Unix machine to
fetch data from an Oracle DBMS and allow Uniface        reports to print it.

When running the old version of the application (with the old
6.1d(x) run-time) everything is going well.
When running the new version of the application (with the new 6.1dv
run-time), there is a problem with a report. The error  message is:
"reference made to excluded field".
The source, which is not available at the moment, has not changed.
No 3GL routines or Global Procs have been added which   could now be
referencing excluded fields (not subsetted fields), since the user doesn’t
have the source code.
In addition to that, no re-compilation of the frms has been done
since the upgrade to the new run-time.
Has anybody experienced a similar problem ?  Has anybody heard of
any incompatibility issues between versions of 6 which  could cause a
similar problem. If yes, are you aware of any patch that resolved this bug ?

        Thanks

        Regards
