[U-L] Processes

Hello,

We have an application running on Client/Server and RF-terminals. Starting
to work in our application starts a polyserver-process and two database
processes. Sometimes our application works extremly slow. When we check on
our server there are processes consuming a lot of CPU time. These processes
don’t seem to be connected to a client anymore and they don’t dissappear
unless we kill them.

Is there a way in Uniface to check if a polyserver process is still active,
being used or connected with a client?

Our current environment:        Server: AIX 4.2.1, Oracle 7.3.2.3, Uniface 6.1.du
                                Client: Win98/WinNT, Uniface 6.1.du

Kind regards,

Re: [U-L] Which fields are on a form?

hi chris
you can see the fields on your form FORM1 using the sql:
select * from uxfield where uform = ‘FORM1′

ULABEL would be the fields.
hope this helps,
srini

"Cancel" dialog during print spooling from Uniface V7.204

Since migrating to V7.204 we see a "cancel" dialog whenever we send a job to
the Windows print spooler.  This did not occur under V6.1du and causes
problems because we have operations which generate dozens or even hundreds
of print jobs.  Previously, the user could continue working while all of
these jobs were being prepared.  Now, each succeeding "cancel" dialog seizes
the focus, making it impossible to use the workstation in question until all
print jobs have been spooled.  Does someone know of a simple way to turn off
the new print dialog?  We already have every imaginable switch for backward
compatibility with V6 turned on in our client ASN files.  Perhaps there is
some setting in the INI file which would apply.
